Israel and Hamas have said they have accepted a 12-hour humanitarian window in Gaza.
The truce is due to begin at 0800 local time (0500 GMT). Efforts to negotiate a seven-day ceasefire are still ongoing.

Earlier US Secretary of State John Kerry said he was still confident of a longer ceasefire, despite media reports that Israel had rejected one proposal.

More than 800 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and 36 Israelis have died since the conflict started on 8 July.

A spokesman for Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza, Sami Abu Zuhri said there was "national consensus on a humanitarian truce... for 12 hours on Saturday".

The IDFI(srael Defense Forces) later confirmed the truce on Twitter, but said it would "continue to locate and neutralise terror tunnels".

"We will respond if terrorists choose to exploit this time to attack IDF personnel or fire at Israeli civilians," it said in a statement.

The news came shortly after Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon warned that ground operations in Gaza could soon be broadened "significantly".
Mr Yaalon told soldiers: "You need to be ready for the possibility that very soon we will instruct the military to significantly broaden the ground operation in Gaza".

Hamas has previously said it would not agree to any long-term truce that did not lead to an end to Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip.

The British ambassador to the UN, Mark Lyall Grant, said he was disappointed at the failure to reach a longer-term truce.

But he welcomed Saturday's 12-hour truce, saying it could "open up a little bit of space to work on a more sustainable ceasefire."
West Bank clashes

According to the UN, Israeli air strikes killed a further 68 people in Gaza on Friday, bringing the total number of Palestinian dead to about 870.

There were also clashes during protests in the West Bank which left at least five Palestinians dead.

Palestinians in the West Bank had been taking part in a "Day of Rage" against Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip.

The Earth or the Blue planet where all of the living creature live is 4.54 billion years old. The World is the home of the entire living creature without which the survival is almost out of the question. According to the Big Bang theory, the Earth and other planets are supposed to be created from the exploding of the Sun and thus the Solar System has come to the existence. In the same case, there are so many asteroids which came into existence and other natural Satellites of the planets.

In so far, the Earth is also considered to be the Mother where human beings have born. The only planet in which the existence is possible is the Earth. But what if the question arises for the doomsday when the earth will stop revolving or the earth comes to the end of its life?

Can it be possible that the people in the earth can be survived? So far, in most of the science fiction movies, it show the earth is too older and it is also sure that everything is perishable including the Sun which  is shining bright in the sky. So the scientists in NASA believes that the earth can be evacuated and so far, the people can be also traveled to the other place which is itself the Universe.

JUL 05 - KIEV, UKRAINE,  Fighting in eastern Ukraine left at least nine Ukrainian soldiers dead Friday, as government troops pressed their offensive against pro-Russian insurgents using heavy artillery and combat jets and prospects of a truce appeared dim.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Ukraine was ready to conduct another round of talks between representatives from Ukraine , Russia and the rebels on Saturday, but didn't name their venue. Two previous rounds of such negotiations held during a 10-day cease-fire have yielded no visible progress, but they brought the warring parties together for the first time.

Moscow strongly pushed for extending the truce and holding more talks in an apparent hope to negotiate a settlement that would allow it to secure a degree of influence over the neighbor. The continuing fighting is putting more pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been facing increasingly angry nationalist demands to send troops to help the insurgency — a move that would inevitably trigger crippling Western sanctions.

Ukraine 's National Security Council chief Andriy Parubiy said Friday that Russia was massing troops near the Ukrainian border and claimed that it let insurgents attack the Ukrainian border posts from its side. The statements could not be independently verified.

The two neighbors, who share a 2,000-kilometer (1,250-mile) border that is unmarked and unguarded outside of a few checkpoints, have been trading claims and counterclaims ever since Ukraine began fighting pro-Russia separatists in April.

The government said nine troops were killed and 13 others were wounded in Friday's fighting in the east, according to the Interfax news agency. It did not elaborate on where or how the deaths occurred.

Valentyn Nalyvaychenko, the head of Ukraine 's SBU security service, told journalists that over the past four days 20 Russian tanks or armored vehicles had illegally crossed the border to take part in the insurgency.

Ukraine says Russia is arming and supporting the separatists, a charge that Russia denies. For its part, Moscow has repeatedly accused Ukrainian troops of firing shells that landed on the Russian side and on one occasion last month hit a Russian border post, wounding one customs officer. Russian border guards said 10 artillery shells flew from the Ukrainian side Friday, but no one was injured.

It is nearly impossible to prove or dispel the claims from the opposing sides, since the fighting consists of intermittent clashes between small units with no fixed front line and it is deadly dangerous for journalists and other observers to travel around. Five journalists have been killed covering the conflict and several teams of observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe have been kidnapped by rebels.

Russia has proposed hosting both OSCE observers and Ukrainian officers at its border checkpoints to prove it wasn't fueling the mutiny.

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday accused Poroshenko's government of dragging its feet on holding another round of negotiations to resume a truce and accused it of using cluster munitions against civilians.

Parubiy said government forces were attacking rebel positions in eastern Ukraine with artillery and planes and that 17 villages had been recaptured since a unilateral cease-fire expired Monday. He said Ukrainian forces now controlled 23 of the 36 local regions within the Donetsk and Luhansk provinces that have declared independence.

Andrei Purgin of the separatist Donetsk People's Republic dismissed the government's report.

"Maybe they occupied 17 villages of some sort, but there wasn't a single militia fighter there," he said.

Insurgents in Luhansk said Friday they have killed 125 Ukrainian troops, destroyed nine armored vehicles and downed three combat aircraft since Wednesday.

Both sides' claims of enemy losses have proven exaggerated in the past, however.

Friday's fighting centered on the outskirts of Slovyansk, a city in the Donetsk region that has been a key flashpoint in the fighting. The military reported to Poroshenko that they flushed the insurgents out of Mykolaivka on the outskirts of Slovyansk, capturing 50 of them.

Rebels also shelled the Donetsk airport overnight, and an AP reporter who visited the site saw a radar or communications tower there still burning Friday.

The mutiny in eastern Ukraine , which erupted in mid-April after the ouster of the nation's pro-Moscow president and the subsequent Russia's annexation of Crimea, has killed more than 400 people, according to the United Nations.

The crisis in Ukraine has strained ties between Russia and the West to a degree unseen since the Cold War, prompting NATO to consider long-term responses to Moscow's apparent new willingness to flex its military might.

To that end, NATO and Russia both launched navy exercises Friday in the Black Sea.

NATO's drills in the western part of the Black Sea just a few hundred miles from Ukraine 's coast involve ships from the U.S., Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Turkey. They were to continue until July 13.

Russia's Black Sea Fleet fielded about 20 ships and more than 20 aircraft for its maneuvers, which included missile launches at practice targets.
Vladmi Puttern
JUL 05 -  MOSCOW,- Russian President Putin has told Obama in an Independence Day message that he hopes the countries can improve relations.

In a statement published on the Kremlin website on Friday, Putin said "regardless of difficulties and disagreements" he hoped that Russia and the U.S. could "successfully develop relations on pragmatic and equal grounds."

Relations between Russia and the United State have deteriorated as the 2 countries have struggled to find common ground in Ukraine, where Russia annexed the Black Sea region of Crimea in March and a conflict in the east of the country has claimed over 400 lives.

The US reacted by imposing sanctions on some of Putin's associates, and has threatened to take further action.

Kamal Thapa
MAY 23 - KATHMANDU,  In a significant ideological shift, RPP-N (Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal) is preparing to soften its stance on monarchy while fully concentrating on reviving Hindu statehood through its first general convention.

The only mainstream pro- monarchy , pro-Hindu party of the country is seriously mulling party statute amendment to move with the times. In line with this, the party’s political dossier to be presented during the RPP-N convention has identified a dozen “ideological bases” for the party while remaining conspicuously silent on constitutional monarchy , which was the party’s signature agenda during its formation some six years ago.

Similarly, RPP-N’s slogan for the convention - “Economic Prosperity for the Preservation of Nationality, Democracy, Hindu religion,” - does not even mention monarchy .

The document prepared by a team led by the party’s articulate Chairman Kamal Thapa puts clear emphasis on nationality, Hindu statehood , multiparty democracy, local autonomy governance system, liberal economy, non-aligned foreign policy and greater inclusiveness with due focus on economic development.

“The convention will set a long term strategy of gradual transformation of the party to keep up with the changing time and context,” Thapa said in a press meet on Thursday.

Asked why the party’s political agenda set for the upcoming convention does not even mention constitutional monarchy let alone focus party’s attention on it, he replied in very tactful manner, “We believe in monarchy but don’t have the kind of strength in the Constituent Assembly to endorse all our political agendas.”

In order to convey the message of its increasing focus on Hinduism, the party has decided to organise Yagya (a prayer ceremony) at Bhadrakali in Kathmandu for the success of the convention on Friday.

Responding to the query on whether the rise of Hindu nationalist Narendra Modi in India will make it easier for RPP-N to win support for its political agendas, Thapa said the Indian Prime Minister-designate has great faith and devotion towards Hinduism and wishes to see Nepal move ahead in the path of  prosperity and development.

“During my meeting with Modi few months ago, I finally came to know his profound devotion towards Hinduism and its cause. But this does not mean Modi will influence our party’s policy and there is no need of getting overwhelmed or saddened by the rise of Modi in India,” he added.

The four-day convention of RPP-N will kick off with a mass meeting at Khullamanch on Saturday, where the party aims to parade around 100,000 cadres from various parts of the country.
Bamdev Gautam
JUL 05 -KATHMANDU,  Vice-Chairman of CPN-UML Bamdev Gautam has denied rumours that he demanded 40 percent share in the party’s leadership, further adding that the rumors were baseless.

Bamdev, also the Deputy Prime Minister of the incumbent Nepali Congress-UML coalition government, further clarified that he would agree the decisions taken by the 9th General Convention of the party.

Bamdev's press aide Bishwamani Subedi issued a press release on Saturday, refuting the claims that Gautam had sought 40 percent of leadership share with leader KP Sharma Oli who is in the fray for the post of party chairman.

"The news disseminated in different newspapers regarding the issue is baseless and was ran aiming to foil the co-work between Gautam and KP

The main agenda of this convention is to handover the leadership and leader KP is fit for the post of party chairperson, Bamdev further added.

Symphony X Drummer Jason Rullo Recovering From Heart Failure
Symphony X drummer Jason Rullo is recovering from recent treatment for heart failure. The metal stickman was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago and is on the mend after a week’s worth of medical care.

According to doctors, Rullo’s recovery time and rehab is expected to last between three and six months and he won’t return to playing live until he’s cleared. In the short period since his hospital stay, Rullo has received best wishes from his fellow band members, World Management and Nuclear Blast Records, as well as his immediate family and friends.

The drummer, who is a founding member of Symphony X, offered a statement on the matter that reads:
a
I would just like to say that I am happy to be home with my family after what was quite a week. We had a few scary days in there, but I made it through what was hopefully the worst of it.
Doctors say I have a very good chance for a full recovery, so I plan to be back at 100% even if it takes a while. I will go through cardiac rehab so I can be monitored while returning to form, so that I’ll know when it’s safe for me to return to drumming the way I always have, if not better.
Thanks to my friends and family for the support, and to the fans, I love you all!

http://quick-answer.blogspot.comMalcolm X transformed himself into a self-taught intellectual who spurned his past as a white-hating separatist and Nation of Islam spokesman to become an orthodox Muslim and an international figure.

In 1964, Malcolm X left his high-ranking post at the Nation of Islam, after discovering that the founder of the organization, Elijah Muhammad, had fathered children out of wedlock. He was assassinated in 1965 at the age of 39 by men associated with the group.

He was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925, in Omaha, Neb., to a West Indian mother and an American father, who was a Baptist minister deeply influenced by Marcus Aurelius Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement Association. Garvey exhorted African-Americans to return to Africa because the United States would continue to deny them basic rights.

He later married Betty Sanders, a nurse and fellow member of the Nation of Islam, in 1958. They had six children. Betty Shabazz died in 1997 after one of her grandchildren set fire to her apartment.

During the ‘60s, Malcolm X disdained the leaders of the civil rights movement, including the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, calling him an “Uncle Tom.” But after his conversion to orthodox Islam, changing his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz in Mecca, he revised his vision of the movement and its leaders.

Toward the end of his “Autobiography” (written by Alex Haley), Malcolm X wrote: “The American Negro never can be blamed for his racial animosities — he is only reacting to 400 years of the conscious racism of the American whites. But as racism leads America up the suicide path, I do believe, from the experiences that I have had with them, that the whites of the younger generation, in the colleges and universities, will see the handwriting on the wall and many of them will turn to the spiritual path of truth — the only way left to America to ward off the disaster that racism inevitably must lead to.”

Life in an SOS Children’s Village helped Deepak KC (39) from Nepal “forget” that he was physically disabled. The love and support he received gave him wings to strive higher and help others along the way. His list of accomplishments include designing environments that help disabled people enjoy more of what life has to offer.
Deepak KC in his design studio. Photo: SOS Children´s Villages

Deepak has been in a wheelchair as long as he can remember. He became part of SOS Children’s Village Jorpati at the age of 9 after his father tried to protect him from society’s prejudice and negativity for as long as he could. Jorpati was the first SOS Children’s Village in Asia dedicated to children with disabilities.

“It was beyond my imagination when I saw friends like me were sharing joy and happiness in a wonderful environment. Although all of us had some kind of physical limitation, our activities and memories are no different than those of normal children,” said Deepak.

He went on to become the first wheelchair user in Nepal to obtain a degree in Architecture Engineering. This is the achievement he is most proud of, because it was a “physical and psychological struggle” in a college with no ramps or wheelchair accessible toilet.

Deepak is recognised as a pioneer in the movement of Universal Design which takes into account the full range of human diversity. As a result wheelchair accessibility in Nepal has increased. In 2012 he was also a technical member of the national Accessibility Guidelines Drafting Committee. But his expertise is also recognised internationally. He was chosen as one of the jurors of the 2013 Berkeley Undergraduate Prize for Architectural Design Excellence.
As an active person who “explored the jungle and even climbed a tree” with his SOS Children’s Village brothers and sisters, Deepak is the founding president of the National Physical Disabled Table Tennis Association of Nepal. When he has time in between his work as freelance architect and volunteering in disabled people’s organisations, he likes taking a long drive with his four-wheeler scooter. Soon he will also have to adapt to living on his own when his sister and flatmate for the past 6 years will be moving into her own house.

“To focus on personal growth and to become a successful person is good, but it’s not enough. As children who grew up in SOS, we all have the responsibility to create a better society,” said Deepak.

“Deepak influences the lives of the people who view him as a role model in two ways. Firstly, his work directly benefits their daily lives as their problems and issues are minimised. Secondly, he has become an icon whose story and work motivate people to work harder and prove themselves.” – Rabin Nepali, Project Director SOS Children’s Village Jorpati.
